Local 21 members protested peacefully and marched on banks to show their support for Occupy Oakland and the November 2 Day of Action. Many members from chapters around the Bay Area took the day off work to take part in events, including a noontime march that went to several downtown banks, and an evening cook-out which fed close to 4,000 protestors, and was organized by the Alameda County Labor Council and supported by Local 21.
