Local 21 is pleased to announce the addition of Tanya Mahn and Regina Jenkins to our San Francisco office — both started this month.
Tanya will be the Lead Representative/Organizer for San Francisco. She has almost 20 years of experience working with unions, both as an organizer and representative. She was part of an organizing drive at her workplace at UCLA, now represented by UAW Local 2865, and then involved in the first contract campaign and negotiations. In 2000, she joined the UAW International, representing her home local and working all over the country on new organizing drives in higher education. After that, she spent time both organizing and representing State of Missouri clericals, Michigan home-based child care providers, graduate teaching assistants at UC and CSU, and postdoctoral researchers at UC.
Regina comes to Local 21 with nine years of public sector labor experience. She will be a Representative/Organizer for San Francisco chapters. Her work with labor began with SEIU Local 1000’s state workers who were located in San Francisco. She then went on to work with State Supervisors and Managers at the Association for California State Supervisors where she traveled all over Northern California to different State of California offices. Regina represented members in San Mateo County for AFSCME Council 57 right before coming to Local 21. A third generation San Franciscan, she is excited to work with the people that make this city great.
Join us in welcoming Tanya and Regina!
