Alex Tonisson Appointed to Citizen’s General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee

Local 21’s Field Services Director Alex Tonisson has been appointed to the Citizen’s General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee (GOBOC). In 2002 the San Francisco voters adopted Proposition F, which created GOBOC for the “purpose of informing the public concerning the expenditure of general bond proceeds through active review and the publishing of regular reports.” As a committee member Tonisson will monitor bond projects through a number of means, including reviews conducted as a liaison to specific bonds, with a goal of delivering what was promised on time, on scope, and on budget.

Local 21 Executive Director Bob Muscat says, “I appreciate that the city is beginning to recognize Alex’s leadership qualities and resourcefulness with this very important appointment.”
