Local 21 members enjoyed the balmy San Jose weather at the 10th annual Local 21 South Bay BBQ.
There were long lines for Chefs Paul Pascoal and Khoa Vo’s famous dry rub ribs, tri tip, and chicken marinated in his special Santa Maria style marinade, delicious potato salad, chili, garlic bread, fixins, ice cream sandwiches, and more. Chris Freitas was also a tremendous help.“The secret ingredient is love!” said Chef Paul. “You’ve got all my love!” said a member as he chowed down on the delicious food.
Members took pictures at the Local 21 photo booth with Rosie the Riveter and Norma Rae props, played Local 21-custom corn hole and Frisbee, and won prizes at the raffle. Executive Director Bob Muscat welcomed a new South Bay chapter, the Sunnyvale Employees Association, which grows our union by 450 more members.
