Prepare for Bargaining by Electing Local 21 Member Rafael Mandelman to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors!

Pictured above: Local 21 members mobilizing for Rafael Mandelman earlier this year, on March 10, 2018.

The reality of being a city worker is that we have a very personal stake in who gets elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Our elected leadership determines which values in San Francisco get funded. This includes what happens to our pay, benefits, and job security.

On June 5th, Local 21 San Francisco members can elect one of our own onto the Board of Supervisors. Rafael Mandelman, is an Attorney and  long-time Local 21 member.  He is Local 21’s endorsed candidate for District 8 Supervisor on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

In 2019 we will be in contract bargaining. We need to make sure the members of the Board of Supervisors reflect our values. Rafael understands the challenges and concerns of professional city employees.

He understands the importance of a strong workforce, respect and dignity on the job, and good living wages and benefits. As a Local 21 member, he has advocated for better wages and defended our benefits during bargaining.

Come join us on April 28th as we mobilize for Rafael Mandelman!

When: Saturday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m.
