Solano County Equity Adjustment Resources

Our Bargaining Team is preparing for negotiations and is in the process of considering proposals concerning equity adjustments.  Members interested in seeking equity adjustments for their position will need to complete the steps listed below and submit the required documentation.  Although there is no guarantee that a specific proposal will be made as a result of submitting your classification for consideration, completing the following steps will ensure your Bargaining Team can make an informed proposal and effectively advocate on your behalf should the data indicate that an equity adjustment is warranted.

What is the Purpose of a Equity Adjustment Study?

  • Examines current market wage for a class or series to determine whether a modification in salary range is appropriate
  • Based on wages for identical jobs in same or comparable agencies
  • Fixes salary inequities for classes / series’ that are far out of alignment or compacted

Steps to Complete your Equity Adjustment Proposal 

1.    Email Sean Aten, Local 21 research specialist, to let him know you are interested in submitting an equity adjustment proposal.

2.    Sean will email you the following wage adjustment resources to complete your equity adjustment proposal: how-to-guide, manual, survey template and EPMC data .

3.    Follow the instructions listed in the how-to-guide and complete the survey template for your position

4.    Submit completed documentation to Sean by May 8, 2015
