CCSF Chapter Delegate Elections Update – 4/16/2026
Nominations for CCSF Chapter Delegate positions have closed, and the full list of candidates for each position can be viewed above.
For the candidates that are running unopposed, they are now considered elected by acclamation, and no election for their position will need to be held.
Of the positions available, there are 5 races that are contested and will require an election in the following Departments:
- AIR: Any Classification (3 positions)
- DPW: Any Classification (5 positions)
- HSA: Any Classification (2 positions)
- MTA: Traffic and Signs (1 position) and Any Classification (4 positions)
How Department Elections Will Work:
- Members in the above-named Departments will be receiving electronic ballots and be able to vote for candidates in their Department, with election voting to occur between 7:00am on Wednesday, April 22 to 7:00pm Tuesday, May 5.
- The top vote getters in each category for the positions available will be elected (ex: if 3 people are running for 2 positions in the Any Classification category, the top 2 will be elected). Statements provided by Candidates in the above-named departments can be viewed above.
- The electronic ballot will be sent to your personal non-work email on Wednesday, April 22. If you need to update your personal email, please do so by no later than April 20: https://ifpte21.org/update-contact-info/
- Your electronic ballot will come from: IFPTE LOCAL 21 <invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com>. If you do not receive your ballot, check your spam folder first, and then contact chapterelections@ifpte21.org if you need your ballot resent.

CCSF Chapter Delegate Election Important Dates
- Feb 25: Nominations Open
- April 10: Deadline for Nominations
- April 22 – May 5: Election Period
Members may only cast votes for candidates in their Department.
If the delegate election is not contested, Delegates shall be elected by a vote of acclamation.
CCSF Chapter Delegate Duties & Term of Office
(Article VII. Delegates and Appendix D of the CCSF Chapter Bylaws)
The term of office for Chapter Delegates shall be two (2) years, beginning after the first SF Employer Council meeting scheduled after the election, and ending upon the certification of the ballot count for the next chapter elections in 2028.
The duties of a Delegate shall be to:
- Attend meetings as referred to under Chapter Bylaws Section V. Meetings:
- General membership meetings
- Departmental Delegate meetings
- SF Employer Council meetings
- Represent and share issues relevant to the Delegate’s department, worksite and/or classification grouping
- Communicate the activities and programs of the Chapter to the Chapter’s membership
- Encourage and grow union membership
- Further the goals and objectives of the Chapter
- Work in the interests of the Local Union and its membership.
Delegates of the Chapter shall also serve as Delegates to the Delegate Assembly of Local 21.
