The Rehabilitation Professionals chapter is comprised of physical, occupation, and speech therapists, as well as other rehab professionals. Collectively, they are responsible for proving much-needed therapies to San Francisco’s most vulnerable residents.

Major Wins for Local 21 this Past Election Day


Local 21 members scored major victories in the November elections. Local 21-endorsed candidates and ballot measure won in over 85% of the San Francisco races. Our resources and hard work in this election helped defend public services, raised revenues for local governments, and strengthened our ability to achieve fair contracts.

In 1994, only 2% of the entire city workforce were exempt employees. That percentage has grown significantly over the years. As of today, 27% of Local 21 workers in the city are exempt employees- more than 1 in 4!

San Francisco is the First City with $15 Minimum Wage, Proudly Brought to You By Unions


At the press conference, Ms. Ho translated for seven minimum wage workers in the Chinatown area. As a Compliance Officer, Robin won $480,000 in back pay for the same seven workers that she translated for. The workers took off a day without pay to attend the event.
