Local 21 Members Honored as Pride of San José

Several Local 21 Members in our AEA, AMSP and CAMP chapters were recently named Pride of San José honorees.
The Pride of San José represent the highest level of public service and commitment to the City of San José and its residents. Honorees are chosen by City Manager David Sykes from nominations submitted by Department Directors and other Council Appointees. Sykes selected the following five teams for the 2017 Pride of San José awards based on the Employee Values of Integrity, Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Respect and Celebration.
AMSP Leader Urges Colleagues to be Union Strong

Andre Morrow spent the last 17 years running San Jose’s sports programs and, most recently, beautifying its parks. Sometimes, he’s done that while wearing a purple Minnesota Vikings sweatshirt or an Ohio State ball cap. But he’s always done it with passion and energy.
In March, the Maintenance Supervisor reached that golden milestone: retirement!
