Important March 9 SFERS Presentation from Noon to 1pm @ L21

Dear IFPTE L21 member,

We have invited SFERS Executive Director Jay Huish to join us for an Informational Session to discuss their 2015 Asset Allocation Plan.  It is scheduled for Monday, March 9 from noon-1pm at L21: 1182 Market St. #425,

As I think most of you know, 2011’s Proposition C means that the performance of the SFERS plan is directly tied to our paychecks.  Currently most members’ contribution to our retirement plan is 11%, but it could increase to 13.5% if the plan does not meet its goals, or decrease significantly if the plan exceeds its goals.

L21’s goal is to carefully watch the SFERS Board’s investment decisions and performance as a way of best protecting our members’ interests and paychecks.  This Informational Session is an important part of that goal, by giving members access to the rationale and facts surrounding the new Asset Allocation Plan.

We anticipate a packed room, so in order to guarantee that we have a bag lunch and drink for you, please RSVP to Sara Golden at by Wednesday, March 4.  If you respond after that time, you’re still welcome to join us, but we can’t guarantee a lunch.

In addition, feel free to forward this invitation to other L21 members that may not be getting our emails.

Thanks, and look forward to seeing you on March 9!
