PACE Reaches Tentative Agreement

 

After more than six months of negotiations, the PACE Bargaining Team and the Alameda County Social Services Agency reached a Tentative Agreement for a new Memorandum Of Understanding on May 11, 2016.  The elected PACE Bargaining Team members include Jaime Leon, Vildred Dawson, Cheryl Hare, Elisabeth van Houten, Kim Medina and Akilah Vazquez. After a wage freeze of more than four years, the following are some highlights of the Agreement:

- A one-time payment of $500 after the contract is ratified
- A total wage increase of 15.25% over a period of five years 
- Equity increases for below-market classifications
- No increase to the cost of Members’ medical and dental premiums

The PACE Bargaining Team recommends a “YES” vote on the Tentative Agreement.  Come to a meeting to learn more about your Agreement and to vote! Please note that only Members are allowed to vote. Membership cards will be available at each voting site for non-members to join prior to casting their ballots.
