Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority Chapter Settles Contract

Our Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority Engineers and Architects won some great enhancements after eight months of bargaining. As a result of constant pressure on the Board, members bargained improved contract language and a fair economic settlement:

  • Three year agreement
  • 1.5 percent equity realignment for all classifications
  • 3 percent raise each year, with the first raise retroactive to November 18, 2013.
  • .5 percent salary increase for all Juniors and Assistant classifications
  • 1 percent increase in employee contribution to PERS each year; Members currently pay 3 percent and will pay a total of 6 percent by the end of the MOU
  • $15 increase to employee portion of monthly healthcare premiums

The Agreement was overwhelmingly ratified earlier this month. Thank you to our Bargaining Team for their patience and perseverance.
