SFUSD chapter Signs New Contract, Jumps into School Board Election

Earlier this month, the San Francisco Unified School District chapter signed its new collective bargaining agreement. Most of the terms and conditions were extended for another two years. In addition, we were able to win retirement restoration for furlough days, retroactive for two years. We were also able to secure employer pick up of all health care increases. These are really important victories for our members, who have made great sacrifices and given concessions for the last five years.

The chapter also recently held its first ever endorsement meeting. Twelve members attended interviews with candidates and asked questions to identify what each candidate’s values are. Visit our website for a complete list of endorsements to date. We are excited by the increase in participation and growing political engagement in this chapter.
