The June Delegate Assembly fast approaches. We will meet at the Oakland Marriott Saturday, June 14. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and we adjourn midday.

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP to Shante Briley. The deadline to RSVP is Friday, June 6; if you are a delegate or will be an acting delegate for this Delegate Assembly, you must RSVP by COB today.

2014 Union Officer Election- Call for Volunteers to Serve on Nominating Committee and Election Committee


Elections for the eleven Local Union officers (also known as the Executive Committee) will be held in November of this year. In accord with the Local 21 bylaws Article XIII Nomination and Installation of Officers, there will be a Nominating Committee and Election Committee to assist with the election. See below for details on the responsibilities for each of the committees.

Bylaws Amendment Overwhelmingly Passed by Membership


Local 21 members overwhelmingly ratified an amendment to our bylaws,which will increase efficiency in our International Convention delegation election, and align its timing with our Executive Officer elections and terms of office.

Help Support Victims of Typhoon Haiyan


Our hearts go out to all those impacted by Super Typhoon Haiyan, which has left thousands in the Philippines dead, injured, and homeless. We know that many Local 21 members have families and friends in the region.

Rally for Immigration Reform


On October 5, 2013, immigrant communities, faith, labor, and civil rights groups, will join in marches and rallies in over 40 cities across our nation calling for Congress to pass immigration reform in 2013.  We will be marching for commonsense immigration reform with legalization that leads to citizenship, legal immigration rules that promote family unity and protect worker rights, an end to the destruction of our families through deportations, and a halt to the rush towards massive wasteful spending on unneeded border militarization and for profit immigrant detention prisons.
