After months of hard work, our Local 21 members were able to fight back layoffs at Berkeley Unified School District (BUSD) that would have harmed our students.
BUSD needs Professional Development Coordinators & After School Program Coordinators.
Along with students and parents, we’ve been at every board meeting advocating for the District to rescind the notices and keep critical services for our students.
By the end of last Tuesday’s special board meeting, Local 21 saved all 13 filled positions that were scheduled to be laid off. When we fight, we win!
