United Educators of San Francisco (UESF) President Cassondra Curiel delivered the keynote speech at our IFPTE Local 21 Delegate Assembly on July 11, 2026.
UESF reached a historic tentative agreement with the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) on February 13, 2026, successfully ending a historic four-day teachers’ strike. IFPTE Local 21 members at SFUSD joined the strike lines in a four-day sympathy strike in solidarity with UESF members.
Cassondra’s message holds true for all of us: when workers organize across industries, communities, and generations, we are stronger together. At this Delegate Assembly, we learned from one another, shared strategies, and recommitted to building the collective power needed to win better workplaces and a more just future.
