Occupy the Screen on March 29

On Thursday March 29, The Roxie Theater (3117 16th Street, San Francisco) will be hosting a film and panel discussion series concerning the labor issues that we as a society currently face. Co-sponsored by the Occupy Solidarity Network, the film night will serve as a continuation to the discussion brought to the forefront by the Occupy Movement.

Now that the encampments have been dispersed, what are unions around the Bay Area doing to challenge economic inequities? “What We Want, What We Believe” with short films and ensuing discussion will help bring historic context to economic protest movements, beginning with the Civil Rights’ Movement, and extending to other movements that have reclaimed public spaces to protest economic injustice. The event will be free to the public with a suggested donation.

When: Thursday, March 29th 7 – 9pm

Where: Little Roxie Theater: 3117 16th Street, San Francisco
