Rosanne Torre Recognized for Service to Citizens’ General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee

On Monday, December 4th, 2023, Local 21 member Rosanne Torre was presented by the Citizens’ General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee (CGOBOC) with a Certificate of Appreciation, recognizing her stewardship of the Committee through an unprecedented time.

The Committee stated of Rosanne:

“You, among many other folks in this building, members of Local 21, 1021, Local 856 or others, served and operated as unsung heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to your Disaster Worker assignments, you and others continued to fulfill the duties required to maintain the operations of government in a necessary public and transparent way.”

The CGOBOC ensure that the City builds high quality public facilities and spends bond funding as directed by voters. Rosanne served as the Committee’s secretary for two years, in addition to her normal job duties.

Rosanne started working for the City & County in 1999 and was an SEIU 1021 member before joining Local 21 after being promoted to her current role as an Administrative Services Manager. She’s also getting ready to support our bargaining campaign in 2024.

“It’s important that everyone joins the union, because more people means more power. We’re stronger together, so join the union and be involved in the contract campaign. The more faces the City Administration sees, the more they will listen to us.”

Join us in thanking Rosanne for her service to the committee and our City!
