We are sorry to report that Karmen Ortloff, Lead Representative/Organizer in Oakland, will be leaving Local 21.
“I want to thank all the wonderful members that stepped up into leadership roles, such as participating in the Local 21 Steward training program. I understand that personal time is limited and sometimes there may be professional ramifications for being a strong Union leader, and these members’ dedication inspired me each day.”
Karmen is going to take some time off to pursue some entrepreneurial opportunities and looks forward to picking up her hobbies of glass blowing and screen printing again.
