We’ve all been there… whether in food service or retail, most of us have worked minimum wage jobs. And without union-backing, millions of underpaid fast food and service workers still can’t support their families or make ends meet on hourly wages that haven’t kept pace with the frenetic California and Bay Area real estate development, rising rents, and utility costs.
Enough! On April 15, fast food cashiers and cooks, retail employees, child care workers, adjunct professors, home care providers, college students, airport workers, and all of us who believe they deserve better are showing up in cities across the country to say ENOUGH. Be there. Join Local 21 as we show our support and rally for unions in all sectors.
MEET AT UC BERKELEY, SPROUL HALL (BANCROFT AND TELEGRAPH AVE) IN BERKELEY @ 4 PM! People will gather earlier and march to McDonald’s on University and Shattuck.
Please sign in as a Local 21 member at the EBASE table. Fellow member and Emeryville Mayor and CCC manager Ruth Atkin has been invited to speak.
