Local 21 Joins Labor Day Marches

This year on Labor Day, September 1, IFPTE Local 21 joined our union siblings across the Bay Area for marches and rallies to stop the billionaire takeover of our democracy.

Together we demand fully funded public services, including schools, health care and housing for all. We must invest in people, not wars. Together we’re united to stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, indigenous, trans people, and all our communities. Working people have the power when we come together!

IFPTE Local 21 San Francisco Vice President Sarah Perez told ABC7 News why we were hitting the streets for Labor Day: “We are here to protect public services and let everyone know it’s workers over billionaires. And that these corporations need to pay their fair share of taxes. We’re talking about labor rights, we’re talking about social rights, all rights. They are stripping public services away from the community.”
